Take Your Medicine!

Questionnaire
(not that anyone ever comments here)

Feel free (I encourage you!) to leave comments with answers. Answer what you want.

1. If you could have two "super powers," excluding godlike powers (like omnipotence), what would they be?

2. If someone paid you to quit your job/school/etc. to play a game for a living (but one and only one game), what game would you choose?

2.b. What if you had only a dial-up connection?

3. If you could be any WoW character in real life for a day, which would it be?

3.b. What would you do with your day?

4. What's better: teleportation, flying, or telepathy?

4.b. For commuting to/from work? ;)

5. Do you think there would be more or less violence in the real world if everyone who dies can either resurrect at the graveyard (with a loss of some cash) or can run back to their corpse? Why?

6. Do you think online role playing games has improved the sociability of the world?

6.b. If not, do you think it's made it worse, or do you think it can be improved with more role playing games?

7. Would you classify WoW more as a role playing game, a "shooter," an action game, or... pick one of your own.

8. Ask me one!

1. Definitely the power of flight and invisibilty.

2. Star Wars Jedi Academy

2.b. Works fine on dial up through personal experiences

3. If you mean a WoW class, then I'd most likely go with a Mage.

3.b. I'd probally go running around creating ice storms and turning people into sheep...
4. Telepathy. I wouldn't have to go fix anything to eat and clean up while moving anymore. :)

4.b. Hmm... Well, if you had telepathy, I've never seen anyone say you couldn't pick Yourself up, maybe I would just float to work. So, now, telepathy is also flying in 1 :D

5. Err... a mental monkey could find the answer to that question. If you think there would be less because the satisfying taste of revenge would be gone, then your probally wrong. A revenge seeker would most likely love being able to "kill" they're target repeatedly, that is, if they Do feel pain when they die :D

6. Who knows? But, I'm pretty sure you don't see people getting mad at others for "kill stealing" or "ninja looting" in the real world. So, I'll go with yes.

6.b. No comment...

7. I'd personally call it one of those Stealthed sneaking around, meteor raining, healing, transforming, beast taming, plate, mail, leather, cloth wearing games...
But, then again, that's just me.

8. Do you like penguins?

Penguins?

They're okay, I guess.

I don't think they'd be as fun to cuddle up with as, say, cats, but they look cute in their little tuxes.

8. Why am I not on your friends list?

Guess I'll take my own medicine:

1. Omnipotence.
(heh, I cheat)

2. Minesweeper.

2.b. Minesweeper Tournament.

3. Primal Ooze.

3.b. I'd slime people.

4. Teleportation. I wonder if I can get to the Moon.

4.b. Teleportation. I'd set up a motion sensor at work, and have it make an alarm at my house. Whenever the boss gets near, I can teleport from home to work real quick. And while I'm at it, telepor onto myself some work clothes.

5. Huh?

6. Huh?

6.b. More games!!! Drool.

7. WoW is a "shooter" with configurability and multi-player action. I feel the days of true "role playing" games have gone to the birds.

8. Uhm... What's your favourite purple?

1. Superman, but not as goody goody as he is, and no cape, or tights for that matter.

2. WoW, for now, tho maybe Dungeons and Dragons online in the future

2b. They would have to pay me enough to support a broadband format

3. Rogue

3b. I would probably go around stealthing and backstabbing people to death (bad people), cuz in real life it would probably only take one stab. And then I would just vanish, and move on to my next victim.

4. Even though I would enjoy flying, I have to say the teleporting is much more efficent.

4b. Teleporting, cuz then you could be there instantly. I'm a terrible procrastinator, sometimes.

5. I think there would be more violence, cuz then there is no real penalty for death.

6. How social are they really? I say no, maybe... I'm not sure.

6b. How well do you get to know anyone that you socialize with in an online game? I think it is mostly just a bunch of people getting together and using each other for their own ends. I don't think that many true friendships are built in these games. I mean I don't even know Psyae's real name and I've been gaming with him for six months if not longer. So... how real is our friendship? My name is Bill, but you probably figured that out already (kinda obvious).

7. I think it falls into the action/rpg genre that Diablo created. I mean most of the game play is similar to Diablo 2, its just set in Azeroth. But it is more of an action game, than role playing, cuz how much role playing does anyone do? Unless, they are on a role playing server. I'm not, and there are actually very few RP servers.

8. What is your real name?

Great way to try to make me feel bad.

As for my real name, I've gamed with people very closely in the past, sometimes for years (quite literally), and they never learned my real name. I'm one of those rare people who considers names very powerful. If you know someone's name, you know how to hurt them. I can't recall presently, but there's a rather famous fantasy series that uses this premise. It's a very spiritual and sometimes magical thing.

Anyway, I'll let you know in game.

;)

I think Robert Jordan uses that in his Wheel of Time series (which btw, he needs to conclude).
